Good face scrub/method to banish blackheads?

I have small blackheads on my cheeks, chin, forehead and round my mouth. They are easily covered up with make-up but I just want rid of them. I've tried loads of things and I can get rid of some but is there any way to get rid of them all, even over time? They're doing my head in. I don't like wasting money on face washes that don't work and the pore strips are only temporary. Help!
