That means they are bringing Coby Carl and Turner to playing camp, testing to see if they like either one, throw a bit of cash their way, and if they like one, they can sign him for the rest of the seon. They don't have to sign either one, if they don't want. They don't have the money to sign a guy people have heard of, this is the best they can do at the moment. Every team in the league with a roster spot does it! Even campionship contending teams, they do it with 2nd round draft picks and undrafted players. I love the Lakers as much as anyone, but they can not sign Varejao in their situation.
