Super Scared! Can Humans get Cat worms?

Alright I'm a little freaked out, okay maybe a lot! This morning, I found a thin, worm-like maggot in my cat's . (Well she turned around and I saw it) So I've done some research and I heard that YOU CAN get worms from your cat! I handle her litter box, and I'm a little paranoid thinking that there's worm larvae all over the house. My cat is an indoor cat, she's never outside, and she's pretty clean. I don't know how she may have got it, and I'm getting very scared if I may have it too!
