Help with hound hating cats?

Hello, I love animals and all my life I've rescued them, mostly cats. I have 6 dogs now, 5 labs and 1 hound dog. I don't know what to do my hound don't like cats... She don't chase them but if one comes up to her to love on her she'll go after it. Today was the worst day of my life, I was moping the floor and my black kitty was trying to get some love from Marina the hound dog and all the sudden I heard her make a noise and I looked and my kitty wasn't moving and freaked out called my husband to come home, called my mother to come over... But I couldn't help my little kitty. Now I feel so bad, I was only like 4feet away, I don't understand how one of my dogs I love could do this. I can't let this happen again but I never gave a animal away. I always hated people for doing this. But I don't see another way. I love her and shes great with people but she took a life. I feel its my fault and been crying all day/night. I wish I could find her loving home without cats. Please help....Thanks
